Saul Dougherty

Saul Dougherty serves as the Senior Director, Capital Markets for CW Markets group, the distribution arm for Cottonwood Residential Inc. and Internacionale, DST. He is responsible for raising equity in the southern half of the US for Cottonwood Residential’s real estate investments. As part of this effort, Saul interfaces extensively with the community of Registered Representatives, Broker Dealers, and individual investors.

Mr. Dougherty brings 17 years of marketing and sales experience in the financial services industry. He began his Career in 1998 with Sun America in Los Angeles, where he was instrumental in the launch and marketing of Seasons annuity. From 2002 until 2006, Mr. Dougherty worked as a Sales Vice President for Liberty Mutual where he focused estate planning and business succession with high net worth individuals and small to midsize business. Saul continued this line of work with Crump Insurance services, where he acted as the National Sales Director for First Allied Securities from 2006 to 2014. It was in 2006 that Mr. Dougherty obtained a Ca. Real Estate License and added real estate to his area of expertise. In April of 2014 Mr. Dougherty joined Cottonwood Residential, where he leverages his extensive relationships to grow the equity in the REIT.

Mr. Dougherty received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with an Emphasis in Business from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1997. He is a licensed representative registered in 26 states with a Series 7 and 63. He also holds an L&D Insurance license in 25 states and holds a CA Real Estate license.
