Mark Perkins is a Principal of the firm and concentrates his practice in Estate Planning and Elder Law. He participates as a guest speaker at our Retirement Planning Expo and for our webinars. Mark uses the most sophisticated techniques in the estate planning field. These techniques include Living Trusts, Dynasty Trusts, IRA Trusts, Medicaid Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Minor Trusts, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, Living Wills, Power of Attorney documents, and Family Limited Partnerships.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Elmhurst College with a double major in Urban Studies and Business Administration in 1987. Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in 1990.
Mark began his law career practicing corporate litigation for a downtown law firm. He then founded Perkins & Associates, a private law firm concentrating in Estate Planning and Real Estate Law. Mark later became a member of the law firm of Momkus Ozog & McCluskey LLC before forming Perkins & Zayed, P.C. with Dean Zayed in 1999.
The son of a career military man, Mark lived in Germany for about 10 years, and is fluent in German. He served as an intern minister with the Chicago Church of Christ, a Church in which he and his wife Troy are very active. Mark, Troy and their sons, Kyle, Cole, and Beau reside in Oswego, IL.
