Kim Rice joined Akers Financial Group in January 2014 as Controller. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Clearwater Christian College in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Kim worked for ALICO/MetLife in Wilmington, Delaware, where she served as an investment accountant for five years. She then continued her financial career at JPMorgan Chase in Newark, Delaware, as a Financial Analyst.
In her role at Akers Financial Group, Kim is responsible for overseeing a wide range of financial and administrative functions. Her duties include reconciling bank accounts, recording daily financial transactions, processing payroll, issuing vendor payments, and managing receipts and expense reimbursements. She also handles various human resources responsibilities, helping ensure smooth internal operations.
A Harford County native, Kim lives in Darlington with her husband and their three sons. She enjoys attending her sons’ sporting events and is an active member of her church community, where she plays on the church softball team. Kim and her family are involved in numerous programs at Conowingo Baptist Church, and she particularly enjoys serving as a project leader for Operation Christmas Child.
