Jennifer Eseed is an Attorney of the firm and concentrates her practice in Estate Planning and Elder Law.  She participates as a guest speaker at our Retirement Planning Expo and for our webinars.  Jennifer has served as a trusted advisor to hundreds of clients and their families, providing them with high-quality and personalized estate planning services and guidance. In particular, she has extensive experience in planning with qualified retirement assets and planning for beneficiaries with special needs. She also devotes a portion of her practice to elder care issues such as long-term care planning.

 

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science Degree from DePaul University with a major in International Studies and a minor in Economics, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, was a member of the Executive Board of the Law Review and was inducted to the Order of the Coif.

 

While in law school, Jennifer worked in different legal capacities from the civil litigation and employment divisions of various firms to working in a judge’s chambers at the Circuit Court of Cook County. After graduating, Jennifer practiced law at a firm that represents school districts and local governments throughout Illinois until coming to Perkins & Zayed, P.C. When not advising clients, she loves spending time with her husband and two children.

MARK D. PERKINS

Mark Perkins is a Principal Attorney of the firm and concentrates his practice in Estate Planning and Elder Law. He uses the most sophisticated techniques in estate planning which include Living Trusts, Dynasty Trusts, Medicaid Trusts, Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts, Minor Trusts, Qualified Personal Residence Trusts, and Family Limited Partnerships.

 

Mark received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Elmhurst College with a double major in Urban Studies and Business Administration in 1987. Mark earned his Juris Doctor degree from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in 1990.

 

After beginning his law career in corporate litigation for a downtown law firm, Mark founded Perkins & Associates, a private law firm concentrating in Estate Planning and Real Estate Law. He later became a member of the law firm of Momkus Ozog & McCluskey LLC before forming Perkins & Zayed, P.C. with Dean Zayed in 1999. Mark is now currently licensed to practice law in 15 jurisdictions.
