Jeffery L. Akers, CFP®

Jeff joined the financial services industry in 2000 and serves as Vice President of Akers Financial Group. He holds licenses in Life and Health Insurance, Series 7, and Series 66, is a FINRA General Securities Representative, and is CFP® certified. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Jeff has completed two advanced degrees, including a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling. He also co-hosts the Winning in Retirement radio show on WCBM 680 and 105.7 The Fan.

Jeff specializes in developing conservative financial strategies designed to help retirees preserve their assets while pursuing reasonable growth. His responsibilities include developing, servicing, and delivering financial plans, conducting research on market conditions and financial products, assisting with client event presentations, and meeting with clients to discuss investment strategies. His focus is on helping clients work toward financial confidence and security throughout retirement.

Outside of the office, Jeff is active in both his community and church. He serves on the Planned Giving Committee for The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region and is an Elder and Community Group Leader at Crossroads Community Church. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Lynn, and their two sons. They reside in Bel Air, Maryland.
